Seemed like a good idea at the time...

Well I thought I was doing really well when I washed out this cute stackable storage container that used to be filled with bath confetti and repurposed it into button storage.

However it seems that not only can my mischievous 18 month old get into my crochet supplies she can also open this container up.

She was caught red handed with it open and quite a few of the buttons missing - these were to be found being sucked fiercely as she seemed to think these were sweets. Buttons have been taken away now and put somewhere high up...

New button supplies

I'm so excited to have a new stash of buttons to try out from paper-and-string!

These buttons are part of a new range of hand dyed buttons that are going to be made available in Sarah's online shop soon - I've managed to get my hands on some samples to test out on my booties, hair clips & some other new items I'm working on.

Shop filling

Lots and lots has been happening behind the scenes of my Etsy store recently. I've been doing quite a bit of promoting on Etsy and my stock is getting lots of people viewing and favouriting it.

I've also listed a load of new booties & hair clips so my store is very well stocked right now. All this extra work seems to be paying off with lots of interest and a surprise order this weekend :-)

I'm working on a few new items for the shop - these flower brooches are what I'm hoping to start listing next... just need to get a button delivery sorted out (dashes off to paper-and-string)

Butterfly hair clips now available!

Just about managed to get these photographed and listed in my Etsy store in time for Christmas.

These pretty butterflies were some from a batch I made for a recent local craft stall I was selling at. My hair clips were very, very popular and I've now sold out of some of my favourite colourways. I'll be making some more soon, but until then I've update my Etsy store with the colours I currently have.

So if you too want to buy a pair in time for putting in a Christmas stocking then head over to the shop and get ordering!

Restocking hairclips

After discovering how popular my crochet hair clips were at last month's toddler group sale I've been busy busy making even more.

Some of these pretties use the new yarn I was showing off in an earlier post and they all have the yummy hand dyed buttons from paper-and-string.

Next job is to get them all photographed properly for adding to my Etsy store - keep your fingers crossed that the sun comes out some time soon so I can take some better photos.

Butterfly brooches

At last I have some butterfly brooches to show you all - these are very similar butterflies to the ones I make for my butterfly garlands, they are slightly larger though and have little crochet antenna.

These two little butterflies will be fluttering off to new homes for Christmas but I'm hoping to make up a few more for my shop soon.
